EC equipment.

One of the beautiful things about EC is the fact that you don't need any equipment - just a baby and a responsive parent.

However, there are lots of things which make life easier for the ECing parent - though most of which you will already have:

Near essentials:
A sling for carrying baby It's always easier to read their signals when they are close by.
A nappy system for back up It makes sense to use small cloth nappies that are easy to remove and replace, and wash and dry, though any or none is also possible.
Easily accessible clothing Not too many layers or poppers
A portable receptacle eg a bowl, tupperware or potty This is only essential for night ECing. In the day you can hold baby over a toilet, or free-wee in the open air.

Optional extras:

A potty Preferably a low wide one.
A toilet seat insert
A breathable waterproof sheet or mattress cover (Hippychick make these) This is great for night-time.
EC friendly clothing There are a growing number of online shops which specialise in making clothes particularly designed for EC.
For example, wool "longies" or leggings, chinese-style split crotch trousers and training pants.
Leg warmers for baby (Or just long socks- Dad's will do!) So you can have immediate access to the nappy or bum. Baby legs and Huggalugs are the brand names. Or sew/knit your own.
